Love is free but not much else is. We do all we can to raise funding to help the furkids many ways. Sometimes it just isn’t enough. $3000 for Mysique so she would have a chance at life, shots to remain healthy, spay/neuters to help end the cycle, microchips so they will be safe, dentals, heartworm preventative, wormers…just to start. Wont you consider helping us help them? Every single dollar adds up. If everyone who follows our page donated a single dollar imagine the possibilities of how many doxies that would help! We will be giving anyone who donates $25 a 2016 DDRT Calendar. $50 a DDRT T-Shirt and for a $100 donation you will receive both a 2016 DDRT Calendar and a TShirt. Please specify size and color choice on tshirt. We have red, blue, yellow, pink and purple available. S-2XL.

Sunday November 15th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Painting with a Purpose in Lakewood. This should be a ton of fun! You’ll be making this cute LOVE (with a paw) painting that will be perfect for your favorite room in the house! Seating is limited so register early $35 per seat!

Hogs for Hounds Scavenger HuntAug 8 20159am-2pm

This Saturday 8/8/15 is the Hogs for Hounds Scavenger Hunt! We will have some great prizes including a $150 Harley Davidson Gift Certificate! Come on out and have some fun while supporting the Doxies with the Denver Dachshunds Rescue and Transport. The hunt ends (last-in 2pm) at Westy Fest. Ride fee is $20…..you can’t even go to the movies for that anymore. Hi All,
As some of you know, I will be hosting a donation/adoption event to support Denver Dachshund Rescue and Transport next Sunday, July 19th, from Noon – 3pm.

Denver Dashchund Rescue and Transport is close to my heart, as this is where I found little Sally, who unfortunately passed away in December of last year. The rescue organization helps hundreds of dogs each year and works tirelessly to ensure their safety and health while with them. They go above and beyond to give these beautiful dogs another chance at life. Because of the amazing work they do, I feel it’s important to give back, and part of each commission I earn, will go back to support this organization.

From a donation perspective, they are looking for paper towels, cleaning supplies, dog toys, dog blankets or beds, dog food, and of course any cash donations are appreciated. As well, adoptable dogs will be here and waiting to find their forever homes with you!

We will have giveaways, prizes, and hot dogs on the grill (what else would you expect from a dachshund and dogs event?!?!). 🙂 Please come out and support this organization and the work they do, I promise it will be a lot of fun!

Ali, George, & Laila Fighting for their lives!

On 6/9/15 we received a litter of puppies from out of state. Ali and George are trying to win the toughest fight in their lives. Fighting to live and survive with Parvo! Please help us help them! We have over 5000 followers. A single dollar from each follower would treat them.

Today (6/11/15) Laila joins her brothers at the Emergency Care Center. She also has the parvo virus which is not a surprise. She will receive the best care also to give her a shot at life. This one simple careless act has now become devastating financially to DDRT. This time of year is very busy with dogs needing help. Our funds go out to help dogs as fast as they come in. As you can see in the photos the estimated cost for care for these three is on the low cost $4,796.86 to the high side of $11,275.06. At this point if the last two brothers become sick we can not pay for their care. Fate has decided for us that their lives become null because of money. We have raised $1000 for the boys but had to pay in full before the little girl could be admitted. We have always made the choice that every life matters. Unfortunately we only have so much money to be able to help them and even as amazing the center we use is no emergency clinic will extend credit for care. At this moment I am crushed and deflated. I just do not see any light at the end of the tunnel for this little family. How can we say no to the care of the remaining brothers when they also exhibit signs of this terrible virus. frown emoticon

Ali, George, and Laila are fighting for their lives today after having arrived to us on 6/9/15 with Parvo. There are 5 pups in this litter, the odds are against the other two not having Parvo and the costs are high to treat this disease. Please help us do all we can do to give these pups a chance at a life and love of a family of their own. Something they have yet to experience in their young lives. Please help us help them!
